50+ YEARS COMBINED EXPERIENCE
Mark Gubser and Jamie Schnakenberg started GSC with over 50 years combined experience providing both wireless and wired communication products and designing comprehensive communication solutions. Both men were instrumental in the development of the coaches intercom systems used by every FBS school and wanted to take that experience to help more athletic organizations. In 2010, Gubser & Schnakenberg, LLC (GSC) was founded.
The National Football League was looking for a solution for safe, secure and efficient coach-to-player communications. They approached GSC to design, supply and support the systems which are currently being used on game day and at the individual team practice facilities.
Just like the NFL, The American Baseball Coaches Association, along with the NCAA, approached GSC to design, supply and support a new Coach to Player™ system to help increase the pace of play in college baseball. The Southeastern Conference was the first conference to adopt the new system for use as a practice tool during the fall of 2017 and then during conference games during the spring of 2018. The Atlantic Coast Conference also adopted the new system for use during conference games in 2018. Currently, nearly every major baseball conference uses GSC to provide on-field communications between coach and catcher.
At the beginning of 2021, Alex Shada transitioned from operations to the new managing member of GSC. Alex’s past leadership with the NFL and NCAA baseball has provided a smooth transition in GSC’s new era.
GSC provides solutions for a variety of Coach to Player™ applications. Whether integrating new products with existing systems or engineering completely new systems, GSC will utilize their expertise in providing reliable and cost-effective solutions to every product and system design, including customer service and support.
